Castle Bromwich Youth & Community Partnership has received £26,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for an exciting project to create a heritage trail which explores the stories behind the headstones in Castle Bromwich graveyard. Led by volunteers from the local community the project will focus on the lives of people buried in the graveyard to highlight the rich heritage that exists within the conservation area. Join the Seven Dials Rapscallions and see just how difficult life was for the poor unfortunates of the area. Learn about the two young starving brothers who forced their way into the local grain mill to scrabble on the floor eating what they thought was fallen grain. After falling violently ill it was too late to discover it was poisoned grain meant for vermin. Come and join us to learn of the many other stories good and bad.
